Now that April has come to an end (or - at least - it will within a matter of hours) the next episode of North East Geek Feast is in the process of being put together.
It's very exciting that nearly 500 people have downloaded the first episode straight from Mevio (and we have no idea how many have just streamed it) and it looks like we might've sorted out getting it on iTunes (more on that when I know it's sorted out)! All great stuff.
The next episode will feature...
STARTER Reviews of Whit it! and Cemetery Junction, Doctor Who, X-Men: Second Coming and Great North Museum's Culture Shock exhibition.
PALATTE CLEANSER Retail Review with Mike Thompson of Travelling Man Newcastle.
MAIN COURSE A look at what we're geeky about. Me and Lily will discuss what we're passionate about in comics, film, TV, books and our major passions in life. Peppered with some input from the Facebook discussion and some vox pops.
DESSERT In conversation with Chris J Allan about his blog, '365 days of Film'.
Hopefully, this will all be up on Election Day - May 6th 2010. Hopefully.

Main Course of Episode Two
Hello, everyone!
We've decided on a Main Course for the second episode. Due to the short amount of time we have to finish it and the fact not many of the listeners will know a damn thing about us, we've decided on...'What makes you geeky?'
This feature will include short interviews with various geeky people in the North East about their understanding of the term 'geek' and what sorts of things they are geeky about. We'll also be reading out a few of the listeners' geeky moments - if you want to get involved go to the Facebook discussion and tell us what you're geeky about (alternatively, you could post it as a comment on here).
Me and Lily will also be joining in giving our own geeky credentials so that the listeners have a much better idea about us and can, thus, enjoy our little ramblings a bit more.
Oh, and thank you for listening - over 400 downloads so far!

The second episode of NEGF
Hello, all
We're feeling triumphant after finishing and uploading the pilot episode of North East Geek Feast and having 300 people download it in the first three days. We're also feeling pretty good about the complements we're received and the 62 people who have joined our Facebook group.
Well, we're not ones to rest on our laurels and so we're already planning the next edition.
STARTER - Reviews of Drew Barrymore's directorial debut Whip it!, Marvel's latest crossover X-Men: Second Coming, Doctor Who and the Great North Museum's Culture Shock exhibition.
PALETTE CLEANSER - Retail Review of April with Mike Thompson.
MAIN COURSE - We really don't know yet! Arrghhh! Any help?
DESSERT - In conversation with Chris J. Allan - talking about his 365 Films Later blog.
Hopefully finished and uploaded by May 6th...

It's almost done
Yes, yes, yes - the pilot episode of North East Geek Feast is almost complete.
About a week ago I finished cutting down the 'Palate-Cleanser: Retail Review with Mike Thompson' and the 'Dessert: In conversation with Regan and Gav (Trenchfoot)'.
And in the last half-hour, we finished cutting the 'Main Course: Paper Jam Comics Collective documentary' featuring interview snippets with Andy Waugh, Brittany Coxon, Gary Bainbridge, Jack Fallows and Mike Thompson' and presented by Lily.
Now all we've go left to do is our review section and some links. Heading to my house now to sort this out. The podcast will be finished by the day's end - but all of the bumf around it may not be.
We've got to colour the logo, set-up a FB page and upload the podcast to a hosting website.
YEAH!
Daniel
